Since January 2008 the movie theatre FILMPALETTE is presenting a "jour fix" together with Cologne "Haus der Architektur" every month on the 3rd tuesday. By screening movie portraits about famous architects like REM KOOLHAAS or MAX BILL and films about projects like building "Bird's Nest" in Beijing by the swiss architects HERZOG & DE MEURON, the viewers - architects and regular visitors - have the possibility to discuss their opinions on the movie topics afterwards. The screening of LAST CALL FOR PLANET EARTH in January will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of these monthly event.

Romanian Première - Green Planet Blues, the first Environmental Film Event in Eastern Europe will take place in Sinaia, Romania between 17th and 19th of January 2009. This event, the first in size and scope in an East European country, is organized by Aristoteles Workshop Association (AWA) in partnership with the Festival du Film de l’Environment de Paris and with the support of Discovery Channel and AVIS.
